Our annual pre-departure meeting/briefing for Palacky University
took place over the weekend and provided all our students and their parents with a much needed insight into their life ahead studying Medicine and Dentistry at Palacky Medical University
. We organised for the registrar at Palacky; Miss Petra Nakladalova to fly to London to brief our students specifically on what they should expect over the next few weeks during their transition. She gave a very informative presentation regarding various aspects of life in Olomouc; for example the culture shock that is faced by students as well as practical advice and guidance on what is to be expected from the first few weeks of university. This was followed by a presentation from Tahir and Talha (3rd year UK students currently studying at Palacky) who were able to give our students some guidance on living abroad in Olomouc from the perspective of a UK student. Our students of course, had the opportunity to ask the current students as well as Petra any questions they had to settle their worries. Overall, the pre-departure meeting proved extremely invaluable in preparing our students for their nearing transition.
We provide pre-departure briefings for all our universities, as we believe it is the best way to prepare our students beforehand. Ensuring that our students have detailed pre-departure information regarding what to expect is essential for a seamless and smooth transition. This fits into our ethos of supporting our students from initial enquiry all the way to enrolment and beyond
